How to paint a red Autumn leaf in watercolour
Bright vibrant Autumn (Fall) leaves are always appealing to paint. In this video I show you how to build up watercolour to achieve the rich dark reds, browns and yellows within this leaf without the colours muddying and mixing into each other on the paper.
Oh, and my excuse for the unladylike behaviour at the end is because I was pregnant at the time and very gassy, haha!

Thank you Anna, that was so informative, A couple of weeks ago I painted a Watercolour still life of Autumn leaves and realise the missing ingredient is the dark tips.
I am taking a break from Watercolours at the moment, I need to learn how to paint in Oils as I have entered The Mall Galleries challenge on 1st December.
Good to take yourself out of your comfort zone now and again!

Very informative but will it be better on A4 or A3 work on the colours
It’s whatever you’re more comfortable with – it’ll work fine at A4
