How to paint a realistic watercolor tomato
What’s not to love about tomatoes?
They’re delicious in pretty much everything, and their colours and textures contrast in such an aesthetically pleasing way.
Let’s celebrate their beauty in this mini class, where I show you how to paint a realistic watercolor tomato.
We’ll recreate the tomato’s glossy, red skin and paint a contrasting velvety, hairy appearance to the greenery.
And we’ll create loads of 3D form so the tomato pops off the paper.
To give our watercolor tomato a shiny and smooth appearance, we’ll need to take care to preserve the highlights and create gradual transitions between the areas of tone.
I hope you’re feeling inspired by this mini class to paint your own realistic watercolor tomato.
Please do leave a comment if you’ve enjoyed this class; I love to hear from you.
With love,
